BING ANSWERS ADAPTIVE UX FRAMEWORK

GOAL

Develop an answers framework that can gracefully scale to support our experiences across current and future canvases.

APPROACH

Started by mapping all the various answer types that we have on Bing ecosystem. Identified key anatomy elements of the various answer types and templates. Prepared a detailed audit map of various answers and typical implementations across platforms. Created possible mappings of answer structure by taking few key answers.  

SCALING THE CONTENT PRIORITY MATRIX

Based on the initial answer mapping iterations, we created a detailed content priority matrix. This content priority model helps in scaling the answer UX across different platforms and resolutions. A domain team creating answers can refer the matrix and showcase the specific answer anatomy element to show on a specific canvas. 

IMPLEMENTING ACROSS ANSWER TYPES

We mapped this model to various multiple answers including the cortana proactive feed. examples below.
